A straight truck is a vehicle with a fixed position of trailer; that is also called a tractor trailer with a fixed position. It is a single frame and can be disconnected from the back.
In simple word , straight truck are medium or heavy vehicle with all axles connected by single framework.
On the other hand semi-truck can separate its cargo areas but straight truck can not.
Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA): A straight truck is a singular cab body vehicle with one-half capacity and tractor-trailer size. Maxium weight of about 33,000 lbs.

- Cheaper to operate as compared to tractor-trailer
- Bear minimal issues and cannot stop quickly on minor issues.
What skill required Straight Truck Driver?
Dirver must have Class “B” CDL (commercial driver’s license).
